Last Sunday in the dorms!

Finished my paper! Ya! After breakfast and some Skype I was able to edit well and turn in what I hope was a pretty good rough draft. Then I booked a hostel for our first few nights in Chiang Mai and planned more of our adventures. Then dinner and watched the build up to a live Manchester United game. But when they switch to the game it's just commentary and no live video. Total rip off. But it gave me chance to do more work and I reviewed Katy's essay for her as I am one of her reviewers. Turns out ManU tied. Ugh. Not what we needed. Off to bed! I'll be sleeping somewhere else in less than a week! Crazy!

  1. When I've been waking lately I can hear Burmese voices in the parking lot of my apartments. I think about you halfway across the world speaking in and listening to voices that must be the similar. It has to be a long weird trip for these people. I see men wearing Longees (is that the right term?) in downtown Clarksville where your Great Grandma and Great Aunts grew up and think, ah I've got a Cousin who has a spectacular Longee to chill in.

I've looked forward to your blog, your words and pictures that paint a portrait of adventures and life lived deeply. It is a surprise that it is coming to an end so soon. I will miss it. But I know your adventures will continue. Life lived deep, thoughtfully and meaningfully has no regrets. All The Best!

    1. That's so cool to hear about the Burmese! I miss Myanmar a lot. I love that they wear their longees :) I think there great!
Thank you so much for all of your wonderful comments. I've enjoyed reading them and I'm so glad I've been able to brighten your day with what I post and I'm sorry I haven't been able to respond to most of them. I'm sad my time here has to come to an end as well but don't sign off just yet! There are still two weeks of adventuring to come and to be posted! Never fear :)

    2. I am looking forward to the next two weeks! :0) You certainly don't have to blog and write as you surf life on your adventures-but I hope I get to vicariously experience your adventures, your mind and your writing as you explore and enjoy life. I think a lot of people would-seriously. I don't think "boring" is in your vocabularly of living life.

One of the men in a longee was standing on a very busy street corner about a block from where I grew up. A very pink longee! I was glad to see him and at the same time hoping that some rogue idiot didn't harass or hurt him...

Good to hear from you. Hopefully as I travel and you travel I will get to see you again. Stay and enjoy!
